1. What is Spottt?

      2. Spottt makes free advertising available to everyone on the Internet.

      The concept is simple: by joining, members agree to display ads for other members. It's automated, and uses a small snippet of HTML inserted into any web page. The amount of free advertising members receive is directly proportional to the amount they give to others.

    2. How do I get started?

      3. Three easy steps:

      • Register for a free account
      • Upload your 125x125 graphical ad
      • Embed the HTML code into your website

    3. What kind of ad can I upload?

      4. Spottt ads are 125x125 pixels. Supported formats are GIF, JPG, and PNG. Spottt ads must not be misleading, annoying, or contain any adult or inappropriate content. Spottt supports GIF animation and PNG alpha transparency.

      You can upload any image from your computer. If it is too big, Spottt will automatically resize your image to 125x125, keeping your image's proportions intact.

    4. What are "credits" and how do I earn them?

      5. Every time your site shows someone else's ad, you earn 3 credits. When you earn 4 credits, your ad will be shown on someone else's site once. You can log in at any time to check your current balance.

    5. Who can use Spottt?

      6. Spottt works on virtually any website, including blogs and MySpace profiles. If you can embed HTML into your website, you can use Spottt.

    6. What are the rules?

      7. Your webpage and graphic need to meet a few qualifications:

      • The placement of Spottt on your website must be "above the fold"-- at most 850 pixels from the top of your site, so visitors don?t have to scroll down to find it.
      • Your website must not be contain any adult or inappropriate content
      • Your Spottt ad must not be misleading, too distracting, or contain any adult or inappropriate content
      • You may not modify the Spottt HTML
      • Only one Spottt per web page is allowed
      • Your website must be in English
      • Your website must be high quality and fast loading

      The Spottt team will review your page and graphic within one business day after you've put the code on your page. We'll send you an email when your Spottt is approved, or notify you of any problems.

    7. Can I put Spottt on more than one website?

      8. Yes. You can add up to 10 different websites per account. To add a new site, log in and click "Create a new Spottt."

    8. What kind of reporting will I get?

      9. Log in any time to see up-to-date stats on how many times people clicked your ad, how many credits you've earned, and more.
